FITTING IN TO FADING OUT
When was the last time you had a deep sigh about something that is stressing you out in unconventional ways? It stressed you out but a deep breath and thought about where you are currently in life has made you ignore that sigh and the situation you had. I am sure we all have had such moments and we also indulge in being reluctant to admit about their effect on us. The reluctance can only dissociate us from engaging in a conversation about it with the world but we will always constantly be under scrutiny about it with our own selves and that eats us up little by little as the time passes. Ignorance is indeed a bliss when we innocently forget about something or are unaware of it. Although, Ignorance means nothing when our brain can never give it a rest about something uneasy we have on our head and all we can do is look for ways to get it out. Uneasy thoughts are like a champagne, let the cork pop and invite those thoughts to become words and that's exactly what this blog is about.
Often times, the troubling thoughts we have are of our current positioning in life either be it professionally or personally. There are so many aspects and prospects in life where we doubt ourselves and surely the doubts are subjective to whoever is having them but widely they range from a place of self-doubt to self-worth. Those are always unhealthy to have when we don't have them in check and let them control our decisions down the line. They always either make you limit yourself or make you forget yourself, both of which are very critical in damaging one's perspective. We all are a group of clueless neanderthals doing something repetitive in life when we lack that very perspective. There is a difference between having a vision that we go after and chasing after the vision that society painted for us. At the end of it all, maybe you might get that validation from around you which was wanted all the time but you would find no meaning to where you head.
We see people trying to avoid the past or forget about it and believe in always focusing your energy on the future. It is indeed nice to focus our energy on the future but never at the cost of forgetting the past because that is what shaped you up for who you are. There is a difference between regretting and retrospecting, if you start digging reasons behind some action in the past, you will only be flooded with a series of regrets but a healthy retrospection to our past will help us be more capable and efficient in encountering a similar situation with more calm and better mind. Before we get all botched up about where we are headed in life, we should also be taking a healthy step back to reminisce where we come from and remind ourselves of who we were and what we want to become. Taking two steps back may surely not make you a lion but it will atleast give you an idea as to how well you did while you were taking those two steps for the first time.
Fitting in is a skill of its own but it is also sometimes okay to accept that something is not for you and move away from it. Persisting yourself that you can do it is admirable when it is personal but persuading the entire society into thinking you are capable is not helping you be a better person. It just is in the track of making you someone without a voice and an identity of your own. Me personally, "I have no interest to be water in someone else's bottle, I'm fine being my own ice. Whichever container can afford to fit me into them, I will be happy with them". No matter how much you forcefully fit into somewhere, at the end of the day, we only tear pages from the different diaries we stopped writing and paste it all in a journal we write for ourselves called life. If anything, life is definitely two things TOO MUCH and TOO MANY. Life is too much to be thinking about and too many people around you have it, so let that thought sink in and you won't have to be stuck up on finding this mythical clarity you are supposed to be.
